SMSCMD Send SMS via Windows Task Scheduler

The easiest way to send SMS automatically using Windows Task Scheduler.

SMSCMD is a lightweight command-line tool that allows Windows servers or PCs to send SMS alerts automatically.

Create SMSCMD Task in Windows Task Scheduler

Press Win + R and type:

taskschd.msc

This will open the Windows Task Scheduler.

Step 1 Click "Create Basic Task"
Step 2 Enter Task Name and Description
Step 3 Select Trigger (Daily / Weekly / Monthly)
Step 4 Set the Schedule Time
Step 5 Choose "Start a Program"
Step 6 Configure smscmd.exe and arguments
Step 7 Confirm the Task Configuration
Step 8 Manage the Task

From Task Scheduler Library you can:

  • Run the task
  • Edit properties
  • Delete the task
