Ping_Alert: Monitor Hosts and Get “Down” & “Restored” Notifications

Ping_Alert continuously pings your servers and network devices. When packet loss/timeout persists (not just a momentary spike), it sends alerts via SMS/Email/Sound, then sends another notification when the host is restored.

Features

  • Continuously ping hosts (LAN/intranet or internet) and alert when packet loss/timeout persists (not just a short spike).
  • Noise-resistant logic: alert only after N consecutive ping failures/loss events; send a separate alert when the host is restored.
  • Alert channels: SMS, Email, and Sound (configure different recipients per host).
  • Status-change-only alerts (normal → loss, loss → normal) to avoid repeated notifications while the issue persists.
  • Logging supported for troubleshooting and post-incident review (auto separated by date if enabled).
  • Windows & Linux versions available.
